The applicant has submitted an application for the development of a 141 suite multi-family senior housing development. The proposed Lafayette Retirement Residence is a 150,537 square foot (52,279 footprint) three-story building. This senior housing is age restricted and designed for residents who are still ambulatory but in need of some support. The private rooms are designed to allow for the advantages of independent living while the services included provide support, security, and sense of community for these residents.
The developer held a neighborhood meeting on August 16, 2017.
Planning Commission denied the PUD amendment at the October 25, 2017 public hearing.
On November 1, the applicant filed an appeal on the PUD decision.
City Council heard the applicant's appeal at a public hearing on December 5, 2017 and denied the request.
