Seeking Input from Lafayette Residents Regarding Old Town - February and April 2017

The City of Lafayette and the Historic Preservation Board are seeking input from residents to create recommendations for maintaining the character and historic spirit of Old Town, while continuing to encourage reinvestment. 

Join us at one of two community workshops in April!  Each workshop will include the same materials and activities.  Attend whichever day is most convenient for you!  View Workshop Flyer.

Weekday Workshop - Thursday, April 20, 2017 - 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
at Lafayette Senior Center, 103 S. Iowa Ave.

Weekend Workshop - Saturday, April 22, 2017 - 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
at Lafayette Senior Center, 103 S. Iowa Ave.

Learn more about Lafayette's history and the historic landmark application process:


 Historic Lafayette provides an opportunity to learn more about Lafayette’s history. 
Protection of local structures, sites, or neighborhoods that represent distinct examples of architecture, are associated with famous historic events or persons, or make a special contribution to the unique character of Lafayette is also provided.
The Historic Preservation Board assists in this endeavor through the review and recommendation of landmarking historic resources within the city, reviewing and approving any alterations to landmarked sites, and through public outreach to promote historic preservation and preservation of the history of Lafayette.
