Lafayette Youth Poetry Prize
The Lafayette Cultural Arts Commission is now accepting entries for the 3rd annual Lafayette Youth Poetry Prize, for English and Spanish Language Lafayette poets grades k - 8. Entries are due by noon on April 7. Complete details and entry form can be found at www.cityoflafayette.com/LYPP.
Michael Adams Poetry Prize
Lafayette Cultural Arts Commission and ARTS!Lafayette are proud to host the annual Michael Adams Poetry Prize. The 2017 MAPP will be held in October. Named in honor of the poet Michael Adams, the Michael Adams Poetry Prize aims to cultivate and inspire poetry while celebrating Lafayette’s commitment to community arts. Art Night Out - Artist Booth Space
Crafted Life will be jurying and running ALL vendor booths at the City of Lafayette’s popular Art Night Out event. The event runs from 5-9pm and booth spaces will be only $60! Now accepting applications from fine artists as well as crafters. Online applications
Artists set up on Public Road between Cannon and Emma Streets. This is an arts focused event and non-arts related vendors may not apply.
City Gallery Walls
Call for Artists! The Lafayette Cultural Resources Division is looking for artists and arts organizations to display their work on city gallery walls for 2-month long exhibitions through 2018. The City of Lafayette has three facilities with beautiful gallery walls to display artwork on a rotating basis: Senior Center, City Hall and Lafayette Library. 24 artists or artist collaborations will have the opportunity for an exhibition each year. See and Respond

Art on the Street Meet the Artists Reception at the Lafayette Public Library October
14, 6:00 – 9:00 pm.Art on the Street
sculptors will be honored at the event.The event will also be the opening of the See & Respond!Art Show, where local artists and poets were
invited to respond to the 2016 Art on the Street sculptures.Prizes will be awarded in multiple categories
and the winner of the Art on the Street, Jean Mellblom People’s Choice Award

Art on the Street 2017 Call for artists is CLOSED!
Thank you for over 80 submissions to Art on the Street 2017!
Art on the Street is the largest sculpture on loan program in Boulder County. 20 works will be selected; artists will each receive a $650 honorarium for a one installation, with additional $100 for artists who live more than 250 miles away. Sculpture must be available for one year, with installation the first week of April 20176. All sculptures are for sale in this year long, outdoor art display. Artworks on are eligible for the $1000 Jean Mellblom People's Choice Award or the $250 People’s Choice Award.

Individuals or organizations may apply for a grant to support arts or culture-related projects within the community. The LCAC awards money, usually not exceeding $1000 per grant, to fund projects which will directly benefit the city and residents of Lafayette. Find out more about Arts in Community Grants.

Local teachers may apply for a grant to support arts or culture-related projects geared towards students within the community. Each year the LCAC will determine the total amount of funding available and the maximum grant award amount. This call is now open. Applications are due May 10.
