Reading Buddies

Reading with an older buddy is a proven way to bolster confidence, foster a love of books and just have fun!

How Does it Work?

During the School Year

  • Kids in grades K-3 have fun reading and playing games with our teen volunteers at the Library. (Kids must be currently in or have completed kindergarten.)
  • School-year sessions are once a week for an hour for a six or seven-week session.
  • A parent or guardian must be present at the Library.
  • Registration is required

  • Summer sessions are often drop-in with no registration required.
