RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS
CITY OF LAFAYETTE
URBAN RENEWAL AUTHORITY
FEBRUARY 1, 2011

Call to Order
Chair Cutler called the February 1, 2011 meeting of the Urban Renewal Authority to order at 10:10.pm. in the Council Chambers at 1290 South Public Road, Lafayette, Colorado.

Those present and answering roll call were Chair Carolyn Cutler, and Directors Jay Ruggeri, Staci Lupberger, Frank Phillips, Pete d’Oronzio, Steve Kracha, and John Buechner.

Others in attendance were City Administrator Gary Klaphake, Community Development Director Phillip Patterson, Community Development Intern Jenn Ooton, Assistant City Attorney Bill Hayashi and Deputy City Clerk Susan Barker.

Election of Officers
Chair
Chair Cutler opened the nominations for LURA chair. Director Phillips made a motion seconded by Director Buechner for Chair Cutler to retain her seat as Chair. A vote was taken and Chair Cutler was elected unanimously.

Vice Chair
Chair Cutler opened the nominations for LURA Vice-Chair. Director Phillips made a motion seconded by Director Buechner to have Director d’Oronzio serve as Vice-Chair. Director Ruggeri nominated Director Kracha. Director Kracha declined. A vote was taken and Director d’Oronzio was unanimously elected Vice-Chair.

Approval of Minutes
A motion was made by Director Phillips and seconded by Director Buechner to approve the minutes of the October 5, 2010 meeting as written. The motion passed unanimously.

Appointment of Downtown Action Committee Member
Community Development Intern Jenn Ooton informed LURA that Dianne Lippoldt had resigned from the Downtown Action Committee. DAC had conducted interviews and the committee has recommended Cynthia T. Kennedy to fill the vacancy.

A motion was made by Director Lupberger and seconded by Director Phillips to appoint Cynthia Kennedy to the Downtown Action Committee. The motion passed unanimously.

Adjournment
Chair Cutler adjourned the meeting at 10:25 p.m.
