CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP

April 3, 2012

Call to Order
Mayor Cutler called the April 3, 2012 City Council Workshop to order at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 1290 South Public Road, Lafayette, Colorado. 
 
Those in attendance were Mayor Carolyn Cutler, Mayor Pro Tem Steve Kracha and Councilors Pete d’Oronzio, Staci Lupberger, Alexandra Lynch and Christine Berg.

Also present were City Administrator Gary Klaphake, Police Chief Rick Bashor, City Attorney Dave Williamson, City Clerk Susan Koster, Downtown Coordinator Jenn Ooton and Public Works Director Doug Short.

State Hwy 7 Planning Environmental Linkage Study
CDOT Project Manager David Kosmiski and Bob Felsburg of Felsburg, Holt & Ullevig presented plans for the State Highway 7 Planning Environmental Linkage Study. They outlined the components of the study including goals, timetable, priorities and key scope elements.

Community Outreach / Intergovernmental Interaction
Councilors reviewed the types of activities and interactions that they have participated in during 2012 and 2011. They discussed several options for increasing their outreach opportunities. Staff will draft a list of possibilities for further refinement.

Lafayette Urban Renewal Authority / Candidate Qualifications
Councilors discussed the attributes, qualifications, professional backgrounds and skills that they would like to see in the candidates for the new LURA Board.

Adjournment
Mayor Cutler adjourned the workshop at 7:25 p.m.
