New Business
Mike Simpson
Due to unforeseen circumstances and scheduling conflicts, Mike Simpson informed the committee that he will have to step down. He will openly try to participate as much as possible and would like to still be involved with committee on an as needed basis.
New Member Applications
Kent recently spoke to Larry Miloshevich, who is interested in joining the committee. Sean will have Curt Cheeseman review if there are any outstanding applications and see if any appointments need to be made. City Council will meet again on May 15th, which is after the next LESAC meeting so recommendations will be made in June.
Daily Camera Article/Colorado Solar Thermal Road Map Study
Kent discussed that a recent article featured in the Daily Camera by Anne Butterfield that discussed a Colorado Solar Thermal Road Map study. Kent shared a printed copy of the study with the members as it is rather lengthy and the committee agreed to post a link to it on the website.
Green Team Request
Pioneer Elementary would like to get some shopping bags for all the families to hand out at Earth Day. The pricing is $2.50 a bag, made from recyclable material. They are asking for possible assistance with funding for the purchase of 494 bags ($1277) to which they have $500 allotted funds available. They are asking if the committee is willing to contribute any or all of the remaining balance. This can be delayed until the updated budget report is heard but Earth Day is quickly approaching so a decision needs to be made this evening. Council did approve a reduction of funding for the part-time position but Kent is unsure what the amounts are. Deborah suggested the school find a much less expensive option for the bag and will send them additional resources for bags that may be within their existing budget and even design the artwork if needed with the addition of the LESAC logo.
Old Business

Sean did receive an updated report from the Finance department but that number might not include monies spent towards the EV Charging Station or the Green Business Awards.

He will reassess this once he goes through the plan again in detail and will combine his findings with any other input the committee has. Any and all feedback is due by the end of April, but focusing should be on what is missing and what needs to be added to the latest report.

It is still being determined how to allow charging of a vehicle without having a functional the card reader so the process can be free, but they are close to a resolution.
The committee discussed details on having an official ribbon cutting event for the charging station. A tentative plan was agreed to hold a ribbon cutting event on Thursday May 17th at 5:30 p.m. Further details will be finalized during the next meeting on May 8th.
