LAFAYETTE, CO– Nationally known poet John Amen will be featured at the Mary Miller Theater on Wednesday, March 14 at 7:00 pm. Mr. Amen will be reading two sets of poetry. In addition to the poetry reading, two open-mic sets will be offered to area poets who arrive early and sign up to share their work. The event is sponsored by Jared Smith, the Lafayette Cultural Arts Commission, and ARTS!Lafayette.

About the featured artist:John Amen is the author of The New Arcana , a collaborative work with Daniel Y. Harris, which will be released this spring by NYQ Press. Amen has written three volumes of poetry and is also the editor and publisher of The Pedestal Magazine, an award winning on-line international magazine of poetry and literature. His work has appeared in numerous journals nationally and internationally and has been translated into Spanish, French, Hungarian, and Hebrew. Amen has also released two folk/folk rock CDs, and is an artist working primarily with acrylics on canvas.
