| | Event Type: | Cultural Event | | Details: | The Lafayette Historical Society presents the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum's program, "The Quilts of the 1930's or Hard Times, Soft Covers" on Thursday, March 8 at 7:00 pm at the Lafayette Library. The program is free, and refreshments will be served.
Take a step back in time and learn about the influences that the Dust Bowl and Depression had on quilting in your grandmother's day. Enjoy a docent-led discussion of the life and times of individuals and their quilt making skills during the era. Examine lovely examples of quilts and quilting techniques from the period.
