The annual National Night Out event is America's night out against crime! We encourage neighborhoods to organize get-togethers, cookouts or block parties and leave outdoor and porch lights on in an effort to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness. The Lafayette Police Department and Fire Departments will visit these events to generate support for local anti-crime programs. National Night Out strengthens neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships. Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back!
