    Beginning birders are invited to experience the fun and discovery of bird watching at Greenlee Wildlife Preserve on the first Sunday of each month May - November 2016. Knowledgeable bird watchers will be on hand each Sunday with binoculars, spotting scopes and learning tools. Greenlee is a Lafayette Open Space marsh property adjacent to Waneka Lake. Parking is available at Waneka Lake west parking lot near the boathouse. The series is made possible by Boulder Audubon, Boulder County Nature Association and Environment for the Americas.

  7. STEM exhibit celebration at Romero Park

    Please plan to attend a celebration for the opening of the new STEM exhibit and park structure at Romero Park. This permanent shelter structure and exhibit raises awareness of STEM ideas(science, technology, engineering, and math) through visual and tactile components, and exposes park visitors to new ways to look at and experience mathematical concepts. The project was funded by a National Science Foundation grant and implemented through a collaboration of the Lafayette Parks Department, CU Center for STEM Learning, and the CU School of Engineering.
