  2. Summer Skate Lessons - Ages 5-15

    July 5, 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM @ Lafayette Skatepark

    We will work on everything from learning how to stand and roll on your skateboard to challenging yourself with learning tricks. Build up to advanced park riding as we explore all of the different features of the amazing Lafayette Skatepark. We will skate together, play some skate related games, have trick clinics, learn about skateboarding history, and enjoy the unique and active skateboarding community.

  3. Youth Weight Training - Ages 12+

    July 5, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Bob L. Burger Recreation Center

    Designed to teach the basics in fitness, this class includes: free weights, Nautilus and cardiovascular machines as well as weight room etiquette and safety. The Recreation Center will waive the policy of 15 and older age limit for this class.

    July 6, 8:00 AM - 10:10 AM @ Whitetail Park

    Participants must bring a racquet, water and a can of tennis balls to the first lesson. Sessions are conducted in three-week intervals and class sizes will range from four to eight participants.

  5. Canvas To Canvas Class - Ages 5-9

    July 6, 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM @ Bob L. Burger Recreation Center

    Participants will be working with a large range of art materials and mediums: clay, plaster, watercolor, fabric and a finished masterpiece will be done in acrylics on canvas.

  6. The Hazel Miller Band - Lafayette Summer Concert Series

    July 6, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM @ Festival Plaza

    Kick off our summer concert series at Festival Plaza with a great night of music. Come listen to the hardest working band in Colorado that's been making music for all occasions for more than 25 years. Hazel Miller Band's music is designed to make the audience dance and sing-along with an eclectic blend of jazz, R&B, Blues and original music. Food trucks will be available starting at 6 p.m. for food and beverage purchases. Only service dogs allowed at City Events.

  7. "TRY" Athlon For Kids

    July 8, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ LaMont Does Park

    Participants ages 6-11 years will be divided into groups accordingly. This is a basic triathlon that will involve riding a bike (any bike is OK), running around the park, and swimming in the outdoor pool. The entry fee includes ribbons and refreshments. Registration also includes admission into Lamont Does Pool for open swim following the event.
