[ACTIVE] Biomimicry: What Open Spaces Can Teach Us, Wednesday, April 16, 7-8:30 pm

Biomimicry

If we want innovative solutions to environmental challenges, where do we find them? Biomimicry looks at how nature performs a function and mimics this sustainable design to perform functions that we want to do as humans.

This interdisciplinary approach brings together two worlds; nature and technology, biology and innovation, life and design. Biomimicry is a way of seeking sustainable solutions by borrowing life’s blueprints, chemical recipes, and ecosystem strategies.

Join Certified Biomimicry Professional Marie Zanowick-Bourgeois for a fascinating look at how we can see our local landscapes as sources of new and sustainable ideas.
