[ACTIVE] Today's (June 5) Picnic on the Plaza concert cancelled

Due to the cold weather, today's Picnic on the Plaza concert has been cancelled. The kickoff to the Wednesday music concert series will be postponed until June 12. The city will reschedule Matt Flaherty to play another day this summer.

Starting June 12, enjoy a picnic lunch while listening to live music every Wednesday at Festival Plaza in Old Town Lafayette throughout the summer. In addition to the free entertainment, $25 worth of gift certificates or tickets from Lafayette businesses will be given away to an audience member each week. The Picnic on the Plaza series is hosted by the Lafayette Urban Renewal Authority and features a variety of musical styles including blues, folk, and original songs.

Lafayette Senior Services will host the City’s daily senior lunch program from 11am –1pm in
conjunction with Picnic on the Plaza. Boxed picnic lunches will be served. Lunch reservation must be made by 1pm on Tuesday by calling the reservation line at 303-665-9052 x1. All ages are invited.
The lunch cost for ages 59 and under is $5.50. The meal is free for those aged 60 and older, but
diners may contribute a $3 suggested donation.
