DEFINITION: Responsible to serve food and beverages to customers in a prompt, efficient and friendly manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The following duties are illustrative only and are not intended to be all inclusive: Serve customers food and beverages either in the clubhouse or from the cart out on the golf course. Keep the dining room clean; all condiments stocked and clean; tell the supervisor of any items that need to be ordered. Keep the beverage cart gassed up, stocked and iced; clean the beverage cart after each shift. Assist with set up for special events or banquets; assist supervisor, (bartender/head cook) as directed; Performs related work as required and assigned.
INDEPENDENCE OF ACTION: Work is performed in accordance with detailed instructions requiring very little, if any, authority to exercise independent judgment. Work is closely controlled through the structured nature of the work. Questions and all deviations from specific instructions or guidelines are referred to the immediate supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL AND MENTAL EFFORT: Work may be performed indoors and outdoors which may include exposure to dirt, sand and all types of weather conditions. Work requires intermittently sitting, standing, and walking; use of hands to fingers, reaching, bending, stooping or crouching, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, carrying and lifting objects weighing less than 24 pounds. Work will include exposure to noisy and stressful situations. Interaction with customers is an every day occurrence and requires the ability to negotiate and mediate. Work requires the ability to work flexible hours and excellent public relation skills.
EQUIPMENT USED: Operation or use of the following equipment is necessary for this position: variety of kitchen utensils, beverage glass ware, beverage cart, cash handling systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge’s: - Overall knowledge of areas within the restaurant to include kitchen, dining room and beverage cart, and the bar.
Skills - Demonstrated skill in operation of equipment necessary to perform functions of the job; and public relations skills.
Abilities: - To enforce codes and regulations firmly, tactfully, and impartially; express ideas clearly and concisely; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public; work flexible hours.
EVIDENCE OF QUALIFICATIONS:
Training - No specified training or education required.
Experience - No specific requirement or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 21 years of age; must attend State Liquor Training within four (4) weeks of hire and must have a Colorado drivers license with a good driving record.
