Building Permits


Q: How do I apply for a building permit?

A: 

Visit the Building Division at City Hall to pick up an application, or download a form and return the completed application to the Building Division.  In addition to the application, you must provide 2 copies of the following:  site plan, construction drawings, elevations.

Q: How do I apply for a contractor's license?

A: 

Visit the Building Division at City Hall to pick up an application or download a form and submit the completed application to the Building Division.

In addition to the completed application, you must provide proof of general liability insurance ($300,000 for one occurence) and worker's compensation insurance if applicable.  Plumbers and electricians also need to provide a copy of their Colorado State Contractor's License.  Please note that electricians do not have to pay a fee.
