If you have lost property or have been the victim of theft, harassment or vandalism in which there are no known suspects and which has occurred within the city limits of Lafayette, or you have been the victim of internet crime, you can complete an initial crime report online. Online reports are processed during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Reporting of any crime which is false or malicious is punishable by law. All violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
If you are a victim of a crime that occurred on the internet the Lafayette Police Department needs you to make a report with one of the following federal agencies, before a police report can be taken.
