Planning Commission Vacancies
Are you interested in keeping Lafayette a sustainable, healthy and vibrant community?  Looking for a positive and meaningful way to become involved or give back to the community?  Why not volunteer your time on the Planning Commission?  The Planning Commission currently has openings.  Apply by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2011.

Interested citizens should fill out an application, be a registered voter, have resided in Lafayette for one (1) full year and submit a resume.  Application forms are available here or at the Community Development Department at City Hall.  Apply Now!

The Planning Commission meets on the fourth Tuesday and following Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.  Members serve four-year terms.  The Commission makes recommendations to the City Council on land use issues such as rezoning, subdivisions, planned unit developments, and site and architectural plan reviews.  The Commission also makes decisions on special use reviews.  See the Planning Commissioner Job Description.
