Visit Old Town Lafayette on Friday, September 16 from 6 - 9:30 p.m. for Art Night Out and help kickoff the Lafayette Days celebration with art, food and community. The winner for the Art On the Street "Jean Mellblom People's Choice Award" will be announced at 8 p.m. right before salsa sensation, Quemando, takes the stage at Festival Plaza. Members of the Lafayette Lions Club also will be at Festival Plaza that evening to help the Centaurus High School Marching band with fundraising efforts. The marching band is raising money to travel to New York for the 10thanniversary 9/11 Tribute to the First Responders at Times Square on Nov. 10 and the New York City Veterans’ Parade on Nov. 11.
