Notice to the Public - ADA Self-Evaluation
The City of Lafayette is conducting a self-evaluation process in response to Title 2 of the Americans with Disabilities Act as published by the US Department of Justice on September 14, 2010.  The scope of the evaluation will be limited to existing facilities as per Part 35.150 and is expected to be completed by March 15, 2012.  Recreation boating facilities, exercise machines and equipment, fishing piers and platforms, golf facilities, play areas, saunas and steam rooms, swimming pools, team or player seating, accessible route in court sports facilities, and wheel chair and other power driven mobility devices are being evaluated for compliance with the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design guidelines.  The City encourages interested persons, including individuals with disabilities or organizations representing individuals with disabilities, to participate in the self evaluation process by submitting comments.  Written comments maybe submitted to:
