Lafayette wins Governor's Arts Award
 Lafayette has been selected to receive the 2012 Governor’s Arts Award. Susan Booker, Cultural Resources Coordinator, made the announcement Monday, March 19, to an estimated 70 members of the arts, cultural, historic, and creative industries community at the Lafayette Cultural Resources Division’s first Arts Networking Event. Lafayette shares the award with the Town of Carbondale.
Gov. Hickenlooper announced in a press release Monday that the City of Lafayette and the Town of Carbondale have been selected as the recipients for the 2012 Governor’s Arts Award. The annual Governor’s Arts Award recognizes a Colorado town or city for their collective efforts to enhance their community and their economy through strategic use of the arts.
