EVIDENCE OF QUALIFICATIONS: Training - High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience - Requires 30 semester hours of college completed; OR two (2) years military service having been honorably discharged; OR two (2) years experience as a sworn police officer or corrections officer in a duly constituted governmental (local, state or federal) law enforcement agency or correctional institution; OR a combination of any of the above categories that is approved by the City’s Human Resources Division; Or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 21 years of age; must possess or be able to obtain a valid Class "R" Colorado driver's license. Have a good driving record. Must be post certified or have the ability to be post certified.
