In response to interested local groups, the City of Lafayette has set up an Adopt-a-Road program. This program is open to businesses, churches, civic organizations—anyone who is interested in creating a cleaner, more enjoyable environment.

    Groups may adopt a section of road one-half mile or longer and must agree to pick up litter four times during each one-year commitment. The City will install an Adopt-A-Road sign recognizing the group. The City will provide orange safety vests and trash bags and will collect and dispose of the bags after the scheduled clean-up date.
