BOULDER Boulder Chamber of Commerce/Small Business Development Center 2440 Pearl Street P.O. Box 73 Boulder, CO 80306 T(303) 442-1044 F(303) 938-8837 www.boulderchamber.com Specialty: Small business financing One of the closest SBDCs to Lafayette, the Boulder SBDC provides free one-on-one counseling services in the areas of business research, marketing, new business feasibility analysis, business plan preparation, finance packaging, and numerous small business topics. Monthly workshops include "Business Startup" (3 hours) and "Writing a Winning Business Plan" (2 hours). Classes are offered at a discounted rate to members of any of the Boulder County Chambers of Commerce. The Boulder SBDC also offers more comprehensive entrepreneurial training programs entitled "FastTrac". The "FastTrac" courses include "New Venture: Making Your Dream a Reality" (9 weeks) and "Planning: Maximizing the Potential of Your Business" (12 weeks).

Periodic, one to five session classes cover topics such as customer service, dealing with difficult people, how to solve workplace problems, fundamentals of supervision, and telephone techniques. Monthly workshops include "Business Plan Meal Deal" (half day) and "Business Plan Meal Deal for Home-Based Businesses" (half day). The Westminster SBDC and the U.S. Small Business Administration cosponsor a more comprehensive entrepreneurial training program entitled "Leading Edge" (an 11 week class offered in Westminster and at times in Longmont). "Leading Edge" tuition is discounted for Lafayette, Longmont, Louisville, and Metro North Chamber members.
