Special Event Liquor License
A special event permit requires the applicant to be non-profit and registered with the Secretary of State for purposes of social, fraternal, patriotic, political, or athletic nature, and not for pecuniary gain; or which is a regularly chartered branch, lodge, or chapter of a national organization or society organized for such purposes and being nonprofit in nature, or which is a regularly established religious or philanthropic institution, and to any political candidate who has filed the necessary reports and statements with the secretary of state pursuant to article 45 of title 1, C.R.S.
A qualified non-profit may have fifteen (15) special event permits issued per calendar year.

A completed Special Events Application will include:
1. Completed Application form
2. Local permit fees
3. Deed, Lease, or writtern authorization to use premises
4. Diagram of premises and a completed Special Events Questionnaire
5. Certificate of Good Standing form the Colorado Secretary of State, dated within the last 2 years. This certificate indicates that the applicant is a qualilfied non-profit organization and is in good standing within the state of Colorado.
Incomplete applications cannot be accepted.
Completed applications should be submitted to the Clerk's office at least 30-45 days prior to event. Posting of the premises is required 10 days prior to consideration of an application by the Lafayette Liquor Authority.
