Arty the Aardvark
Be a part of ART in Lafayette!
Lafayette Cultural Resources Department is looking for artists to submit work for the following programs:

CALLING ALL ARTISTS! BOOTH SPACE AVAILABLE AT ART NIGHT OUT!

This year we are offereing an expanded Art Night Out with fun activities starting earlier in the evening. We are looking for artists who would like to show their original work from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m during Art Night Out evenings: May 18, June 15, July 20, August 17, September 21. Submit your APPLICATION online. Once your application is accepted you will be asked to pay your booth fee of $25 per Art Night Out to reserve your space. Art on the StreetArt on the Street

An art on loan, outdoor sculpture walk.  Sculpture is installed for approximately 12 months.  Selected artists receive a $500 stipend.  The deadline for application is November of each year.  Selection is held in December and January.  Artists are notified in January regarding selection of their work. 
Check back in the August of 2012 for information regarding the next cycle of Art on the Street.



Art on the Wall Call
This call is now closed.  Applications are under review.  All selected artists will be notified by February of 2012. 
The City of Lafayette has three facilities with beautiful gallery walls to display artwork on a rotating basis: Senior Services, City Hall and the Library. Hundreds of people pass through these buildings each week and comment on how much they enjoy seeing the work of various artists and the different media represented. The library also has display cases where smaller 3-D and fiber arts pieces can be shown.
The
Beginning October 1 through November 30, 2012 we will be accepting applications from artists who want to display their work at each location for 2013. If you’d like to share your work with the community please check back here for more information.
