Listing A Property
Does not restrict the uses normally allowed on the property
Does not require an owner to make any changes to the site
Does not apply to building interiors
Does not obligate you to undertake rehabilitation or restoration
Property Owner's Committment
Any plans for work on the exterior of a listed property must be approved by the Lafayette Historic Preservation Board
A listing on the Register of Historic Places cannot be revoked
Minimum maintenance may be required if the property is willfully neglected
