The City requires all contractors doing construction within the City limits and being compensated for that work to be licensed. 

How to Register

To obtain a contractor’s license, fill out a contractor’s license application.   Attach or bring copies of your general liability insurance certificates and Workman’s Compensation Insurance.  Licenses are good for one year from the month that you applied. 

Types of Licenses & Fees

General Class A - $175 fee.  This license is required for all commercial work over 2,000 sq. ft in size.

General Class B - $125 fee.  This license is for commercial work up to 2,000 sq. ft. in size and any size of residential construction.

General Class C - $100 fee.  This license allows for residential construction/remodeling up to 3,500 sq. ft. in size.

Mechanical License - $125 fee.  For commercial and residential HVAC.

Plumbing License  - $150 fee.  A copy of the master plumbing license is required.

Special Contractor License - $100 fee.

Mobile Home Installer, Concrete & Form, House and Building Movers, Excavating, Gas Fitter, Sign Installer, Fencing, Roofing, Landscaping, Fire Systems, and Siding

Electrical Contractor License.  A copy of the State Master license is required.  No Fee, but do need to register.
