At times the development process is very complicated, depending upon the type of application, but there is a purpose to the complexity.  Our process complies with local, state and federal regulations while ensuring that each step is consistent with Lafayette's goals and policies.  One of the goals of the Community Development Department is to assist you in navigating through the development process and emerging with your annexation, zoning, subdivision, site plan, building permit, and certificate of occupancy.
