Human Resources role is to hire, support, and develop a diverse workforce that is dedicated to delivering high quality services to our community. Human Resources manages recruitment, selection, benefits, employee orientations, employee relations and compensation administration. We offer a progressive and respectful work environment. We serve as an internal consultant to other City departments in all areas of employee relations. We assist departments in promoting and fostering professional growth, teamwork, pride and leadership throughout our organization.
In addition, the Department oversees several employee committees, including the Employee Wellness Committee, the Safety Committee, and the Volunteer Committee. Other duties include coaching management on recruitment, classifying and leveling compensation; providing training and development; interpreting the personnel guidelines, managing risk, and resolving conflicts.
