Planning Division
The Planning Division provides review and monitoring of all development proposals to ensure consistency and compliance with approved development standards and zoning, and coordinates the review and approval process through the Zoning Board of Adjustment, Planning Commission, and City Council. Long-range planning is accomplished through monitoring and updating the city's Comprehensive Plan in cooperation and coordination with the Planning Commission and City Council. Regional planning is also coordinated with abutting municipalities, Boulder County, the Denver Regional Council of Governments, along with other governmental entities.

Work to install new landscaping in Old Town Lafayette along Public Road is underway and is expected to be completed by May 17.
