What is One Lafayette?
The City of Lafayette finances a community fundraiser to help local non-profits provide essential services

Food, shelter and other emergency family assistance programs

Tutoring, mentoring, and leadership programs for young people

Transportation, support, independence and dignity for the elderly, developmentally disabled and physically challenged

Medical care for low income families and the uninsured

Support and services for at-risk children

In 2011 One Lafayette gave out $41,950 to 21 non-profits that help people in Lafayette. Funding comes from the City’s general fund budget and from contributions made by citizens in the Lafayette community. Essential Community Resources funds were received by sister Carmen, Meals on Wheels, Safehouse (SPAN) Clinica Campesina, Saint Benedict Health and Healing ministry, Flatirons Habitat for Humanity, Voices for Children, Immigrant Legal Center of Boulder County and Rocky Mountain Legal Center.
Special Project Grant awards went to WOW! Children’s Museum, The I-HAVE-A-DREAM Foundation, Bobcat Football, Centaurus Band Boosters, Community Action Development Corp, Courage is Change, Project YES, Audio Information Network, Peanut Butter Players, the Rocky Mountain Center for Musical Arts and Imagine.
