  1. Trails & Trees Celebration - RESCHEDULED FOR 4/25

    April 25, 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM @ Public Road Trailhead

    Please join this community celebration of Arbor Day and the re-opening of S. Public Rd. Trailhead. The trailhead was severely damaged in the 2013 flood but has now been fully restored and improved. With more parking available and a new restroom facility the trailhead is better than ever. There will be live music, fruit snacks and water on-site free of charge. Come celebrate Arbor Day and Lafayette Open Space with other community members and City staff. **Parking is available on the west side of Old Laramie Trail, the street north of the trailhead. The parking lot at the trailhead will be closed to accommodate the celebration. We encourage participants to bike, walk, carpool, or use other alternative transportation to this event.   2. Installing and Maintaining Your Xeriscape Garden

    April 29, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Library Meeting Room

    Each spring, the Public Works Department partners with CRC to provide no cost seminars on the how-to’s of xeriscaping and other water-wise landscape practices. From getting started to more advanced topics, there is surely a seminar to suit your needs. Seminars are at no cost and open to anyone. You may sign up by calling 303-999-3820 x222. Space is limited. Please pre-register

    ARTS! Lafayette and the Lafayette Police Department is offering a free training for all volunteers who wish to help with alcohol service, id checking and sales at the Art Night Out Beer & Wine Garden. Volunteers will learn how to check ids and other required safety precautions. Other volunteers are needed for jobs that do not require training.
