  2. Prescription Drug Take Back Event

    April 26, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Southeast corner of Walmart parking lot.

    This event provides the public an opportunity to surrender expired, unwanted or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications to law enforcement officers for destruction. Items which cannot be accepted are needles, mercury thermometers, oxygen containers, chemotherapy or radioactive substances, pressurized canisters and illicit drugs.

    Spring Clean up will be held from April 28 through May 7. (**Dates may be subject to change due to weather or emergency responsibilities.) Acceptable items needs to be in the curb/gutter-area of the street by 7:00AM on 4/30/2014 to be picked up. Please be aware we will only be accepting compostable bags.   1. Drug Take Back & Shred Event

    April 26, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Southeast corner of Walmart parking lot.

    The Drug Take Back event provides the public an opportunity to surrender expired, unwanted or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications to law enforcement officers for destruction. Items which cannot be accepted are needles, mercury thermometers, oxygen containers, chemotherapy or radioactive substances, pressurized canisters and illicil drugs. The Shred event provides the public an oppotrunity to safely get rid of old documents. Bring old checks, bills, bank statements, medical records, tax forms and pay stubs for shredding. Sorry, but newspapers, phone books, junk mail, magazines or catalogues cannot be accepted. Both events are free, however Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers helps the Lafayette Police Department organize the shred event and they welcome any donations.
