Effective CPR can double, or even triple, a victims chances of survival. Unfortunately, only 32% of these victims get immediate CPR from trained bystanders. Please help by teaming up with the Lafayette Fire Department to learn the skills necessary to save a life!!! Cost: $35.00 - includes course materials, your CPR card, and a special gift!!     The 2013 Citizens' Police Academy is coming up! This unique 9-week mini-academy is for citizens age 18 and older and explains many of the police department's policies and officer skills that are developed to keep you safe. Applications are required for this academy, available online (link below) or at the police department during normal business hours. Applications must be turned in to the police department in person by September 6.. Space is limited, so turn in your application early!
