  1. Ride the Colorado Rails presented by the Lafayette Historical Society

    The Lafayette Historical Society Presents:“Ride the Colorado Rails of History” on November 14 Take a trip through Colorado History by rail as Larry Dorsey of the Colorado Railroad Museum presents a program on the history of railroads in the Centennial State. He will show slides, many from the archives of the Museum, illustrating Colorado’s rail history, showing significant scenes then and now, and informing the audience of some train rides available in the state today. Mr. Dorsey will also include railroading scenes from eastern Boulder County including Lafayette. Larry Dorsey is a retired history teacher, Chair of the Superior Historical Commission and a long-time volunteer at the Colorado Railroad Museum. Refreshments will be served.

Lafayette Police Department

  1. 2013 Santa Cop Program

    November 1, 8:00 AM - November 29, 5:00 PM @ Lafayette Police Department and Municipal Court Building

    The Lafayette Police Department hosts the Santa Cop Program every year. This program coordinates gift donations for families in need in our community. The police department hosts a party with refreshments and attended by Santa himself to give out gifts. If you know of or are a family in need, please fill out the attached nomination form and turn it in to the police department by November 29. If you would like to help support this program, you can donate new toys or make a monetary donation to the police department. Toy drop locations are also available at City Hall, Public Library and Bob Burger Recreation Center.

    All aboard for a trip through Colorado History by rail as Larry Dorsey of the Colorado Railroad Museum presents a program and slideshow exploring Colorado rail scenes and routes, past and present, as well as the history of rail in eastern Boulder County including Lafayette. This program, presented by the Lafayette Historical Society, is free and open to the public, donations accepted. Refreshments to be served.
