  1. Lafayette Window Painting Contest Registration

    Join us for the 3rd Annual Lafayette Window Painting Contest this October! Exterior business windows along Public Road and E Simpson Street will be turned into canvases for kids to paint themes of the season during the weekend of Oct. 12 and 13 (Rain dates are Oct. 19-20.) Themes include Halloween, Día de los Muertos, harvest and fall scenes. Professional artists will help with the project and provide judges for the paintings.

    The 2013 Citizens' Police Academy is coming up! This unique 9-week mini-academy is for citizens age 18 and older and explains many of the police department's policies and officer skills that are developed to keep you safe. Applications are required for this academy, available online (link below) or at the police department during normal business hours. Applications must be turned in to the police department in person by September 6.. Space is limited, so turn in your application early!

    Stop in to visit and play with other babies and caregivers. Drop-in between 10:30 and noon for a relaxed, unmediated playtime. This program is for babies from birth to first walkers and their caregivers only.

  1. Elk Bugling

    September 24, 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM @ Senior Services Center

    Colorado is a unique and beautiful state and visiting Rocky Mountain National Park is a wonderful way to see the fall colors and elk bugling all in one trip. We will have an early lunch on your own at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park. Meal price (your fee) $10.00 includes salad bar, entrees, dessert and beverages. Then experience the annual bugling of the elk. Make sure to dress for all weather conditions. Van Ride trip is not handicap accessible.
