The Lafayette Cultural Resources Department is looking for artists to submit work for the following programs:
Michael Adams
Michael Adams Poetry Prize
ARTS!Lafayette and the Lafayette Cultural Arts Commission are proud to announce a call for entries to the 2015 Michael Adams Poetry Prize. Named in honor of the poet Michael Adams, the Michael Adams Poetry Prize aims to cultivate and inspire poetry while celebrating Lafayette’s commitment to community arts.
The contest will be open to all Colorado adult poets as well as youth living in or attending school in Lafayette.  Entries are due March 22, 2015. Entry forms and additional info may be found at www.cityoflafayette.com/MAPP

Arts in Community and Arts in Education Grant Opportunities

Arts in the Community Grants Application
Individuals or organizations may apply for a grant to support arts or culture-related projects within the community. The LCAC awards money, usually not exceeding $1000 per grant, to fund projects which will directly benefit the city and residents of Lafayette. Grant applications are due March 30, 2015.   More information.

Arts in Education Grants - This call is now closed!
  Local teachers may apply for a grant to support arts or culture-related projects geared towards students within the community. Each year the LCAC will determine the total amount of funding available and the maximum grant award amount. For 2014 the projected total of grant funds is $5000 and the maximum award will be $500. The next cycle will be Fall 2015.

Art on the Wall Call
The City of Lafayette has three facilities with beautiful gallery walls to display artwork on a rotating basis: Senior Services, City Hall and Lafayette Library. Hundreds of people pass through these buildings each week and enjoy seeing the work of various artists and the different media represented. The library also has display cases where smaller 3-D and fiber arts pieces can be shown.

Art on the Street
Art on the Street
This call is now closed.  2015 Art on the Street sculpture will be installed in Marcy 2015.  This program provides artists nationwide the opportunity to showcase their work in this creative, diverse and eclectic community.
Art on the Street, in its seventh year, is the largest sculpture on loan program in Boulder County.  Selected sculptures will be on display outdoors for one year.   Sixteen works will be selected; artists will each receive a $500 stipend upon installation.  All sculptures are for sale in this outdoor art display.  Artworks on display are eligible for the $1000  Jean Mellblom People's Choice Award. 

See & Respond

See and Respond
Poets and 2-D artists of all kinds are invited to See & Respond to the Lafayette Colorado Art on the Street collection by writing poems or creating 2-D works of art in any medium that are inspired by any of the Art on the Street sculptures. Cash prizes will be awarded for this juried show. 2014 is closed.

Art Night Out - Artist Booth Space

Call for Artists and vendors!
We are striving for a rich variety of media/crafts/ … Most of our booth spaces are reserved for arts and fine crafts. Artists set up on Public Road between Cannon and Emma Streets. This is an arts focused event and non-arts related vendors may not apply. Look for information about Art Night Out 2015 after January 1 2015
