Outdoor Classroom

As an area providing protection for plant and animal species within city limits, the Outdoor Classroom serves as an environmental learning center for the entire community and is open to the public for use.

Numerous restoration and enhancement projects have improved the wetland meadow and prairie and woodland areas.  For over 10 years, the Outdoor Classroom has been a National Wildlife Federation “Schoolyard Habitat”
thanks to the hard work of students at nearby Pioneer Elementary.

Parking and restrooms are available at the Recreation Center.

Available for public use, call 303-665-5588 x3610
