Festival Plaza

   Festival Plaza is a gathering place in Old Town Lafayette on Public Road
   and Chester Streets.

Festival Plaza The Plaza is a series of four smaller interconnected plazas each designed with features to promote various events. It is home to festivals, summer storytime, summer concerts, and an outdoor cinema.

Starting Memorial Day, the fountains will be on from 10am to 8pm Daily until Labor Day.

Note that the fountains may be turned off during scheduled events.

Reserving the Plaza and the Starkey Building
Starkey Building
A Reservation Permit is required to hold a meeting at the Starkey Building, which is located directly north of Festival Plaza in Old Town Lafayette. The Building is available for meetings, parties, receptions and other private functions during regular business hours Mon-Fri 8 am to 5 pm. A fee of $25 will be charged per use. All Starkey Building reservations are handled through the Community Development Department at City Hall. For questions, please call 303-661-1265.

Festival Plaza
A Reservation Permit is required to hold an event at the Festival Plaza. Festival Plaza reservation requests are handled through the Community Development Department at City Hall or can be submitted online. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. For questions, please call 303-661-1265.  

Little Free Library

Take a book! Leave a book! Festival Plaza is home to a new Little Free Library sponsored by the Library Board, built by Bill Cameron and painted by Braydon Durfey. The mini-Alley Art was painted by Sarah Spencer. 
Art on the Street

The Public Art Committee has created a rotating, outdoor, sculpture program in Old Town Lafayette. For 2015, Art on the Street will showcase 16 pieces along Public Road that feature Colorado artists as part of the rotating exhibit. This year, there will be six pieces installed at Festival Plaza, three that are part of the rotating exhibit.

This piece is part of the permanent public art collection. It was purchased by the Lafayette Urban Renewal Authority.

This is Loeffer’s second piece in the city's permanent art collection. It was inspired by the way in which reading can take us away to far away places.
