Become a Volunteer

We're looking for open-hearted folks to make a difference in the lives of others in our community. See if any of these open positions fit you, and then fill out an application. We would love to have you join us!

More Information about these opportunities!

Ongoing Opportunities:
Computer Coach
We have Computer Coach openings in our weekly schedule. Assist customers one-on-one with computer questions on our public computers, or using their personal laptops.

Reading Buddies
Reading Buddies are 7th-12th grade mentors who meet once a week to read and play literacy games one-on-one with a younger child. Reading Buddies are cheerleaders and coaches who share their love of reading with children. Interested teens submit an application, participate in an interview, attend a training, and receive ongoing guidance. Find out more about our Reading Buddies Program.

Homebound Delivery Volunteers
Help us reach out to customers who are unable to visit the library because of illness, age-related
disabilities or other challenges. Once a month, deliver library materials to the front door of someone in
need of a brief visit and a good book to read!

On Call Special Event Volunteers
Looking for a volunteer opportunity that is flexible and fun? Look no further! Volunteers are needed to
help with programs, special events, and special one-time projects throughout the year. When we call to
ask if you can help with a future endeavor, you decide if the time is right for you to volunteer.

Volunteer Application
All volunteer positions require an interview and Homebound Delivery Volunteers and Homework Center Tutors require a background screen.
