Be a Part of Art in Lafayette!
The Lafayette Cultural Resources Department is looking for artists to submit work for the following programs:


Art Night Out
Art Night Out
Artists Booth Spaces
Become an arts vendor at the 2013 Art Night Out.  Art Night Out is held in Old Town Lafayette the 3rd Friday of each month, May through September. Dates available are May 17, June 21, July 19, August 16, September 20.  Fill out the on-line application.  Contact for more information.


Arts in the Community Grants now available
Individuals or organizations may apply for a grant to support arts or culture-related projects within the community. The LCAC awards money, usually not exceeding $1000 per grant, to fund projects which will directly benefit the city and residents of Lafayette. The grant application is available from the City of Lafayette website; www.cityoflafayette.com/aicgrant. Grant applications are due May 24. All projects receiving grant money need to be complete by December 31, 2013. More information.


17th Annual Lafayette Community Art Show

CulturalArtsLogo75.jpgThe call for entries to  the 17th Annual Lafayette Community Art Show is now closed. Take time to see the show at the newly remodeled Lafayette Public Library Gallery.  The show will hang in the Lafayette Public Library gallery space from March 30 – May 31. The show  features a wide range of media, highlighting Lafayette’s creative, diverse and eclectic artist community.

Lafayette Cultural ArtsWe are currently accepting applications from artists who want to display their work at specified City facility locations for the 2013-2014 season.  Artists may apply for a two-month show with the city.

The City of Lafayette has three facilities with beautiful gallery walls to display artwork on a rotating basis: Senior Services, City Hall and Lafayette Library. Hundreds of people pass through these buildings each week and enjoy seeing the work of various artists and the different media represented. The library also has display cases where smaller 3-D and fiber arts pieces can be shown. If you’d like to share your work with the community please download and send in the application.  Artwork submission form.

This call is now closed.
An art on loan, outdoor sculpture walk in Old Town Lafayette. Sculpture is installed for approximately 12 months. Selected artists receive a $500 stipend. The deadline for applications is November 1. Selection is held in December and January. Artists are notified in January regarding selection of their work.
