The Lafayette Cultural Resources Department is looking for artists to submit work for the following programs:

Lafayette Cultural Resources Grant Writer
The City of Lafayette seeks one or more part-time, contract Grant Writers to work in collaboration with Lafayette Cultural Arts Commission and Public Art Committee and under the supervision of the Cultural Resources Division Coordinator.  The chosen candidate will research public and private arts and cultural grant opportunities, complete and submit grant applications, track and mange grant requirements, check progress and complete reports.   As an independent contractor, the grant writer must work independently and supply his/her own personal computer, software programs, internet connection, and workspace. The contract position will pay $20 - $35 per hour depending on experience and proven track record.  Review the job description and learn how to apply.

Art on the Street
Art on the Street
This call is now closed. Lafayette Cultural Resources accepted for sculpture submissions for the 2016 Art on the Street Sculpture Walk. Artists' submissions on December 1, 2015.  This program provides artists nationwide the opportunity to showcase their work in this creative, diverse and eclectic community. 
Selected sculptures will be on display outdoors for one year. Art on the Street sculpture will be installed in April 2016.    Sixteen to eighteen works will be selected; artists will each receive a $500 stipend upon installation.  All sculptures are for sale in this outdoor art display.  Artworks on display are eligible for the $1000  Jean Mellblom Award and a People's Choice Award.  

Art Night Out - Artist Booth Space
We are striving for a rich variety of media/crafts/ … Most of our booth spaces are reserved for arts and fine crafts. Artists set up on Public Road between Cannon and Emma Streets. This is an arts focused event and non-arts related vendors may not apply. Check back in Spring of 2016 for more information.

Michael Adams Poetry PrizeMichael Adams

Named in honor of the poet Michael Adams, the Michael Adams Poetry Prize aims to cultivate and inspire poetry while celebrating Lafayette’s commitment to community arts. The call is now closed

Arts in Community and Arts in Education Grant Opportunities

Arts in the Community Grants Application
Individuals or organizations may apply for a grant to support arts or culture-related projects within the community. The LCAC awards money, usually not exceeding $1000 per grant, to fund projects which will directly benefit the city and residents of Lafayette.   The call is now closed.

Arts in Education Grants - This call is now closed!
  Local teachers may apply for a grant to support arts or culture-related projects geared towards students within the community. Each year the LCAC will determine the total amount of funding available and the maximum grant award amount. For 2014 the projected total of grant funds is $5000 and the maximum award will be $500. The next cycle will be Fall 2015.

See & Respond
See and Respond
Poets and 2-D artists of all kinds are invited to See & Respond to the Lafayette Colorado 2015 Art on the Street collection by writing poems or creating 2-D works of art in any medium that are inspired by any of the Art on the Street sculptures. Cash prizes will be awarded for this juried show.

Art on the Wall Call
The City of Lafayette has three facilities with beautiful gallery walls to display artwork on a rotating basis: Senior Services, City Hall and Lafayette Library. Hundreds of people pass through these buildings each week and enjoy seeing the work of various artists and the different media represented. The library also has display cases where smaller 3-D and fiber arts pieces can be shown.
