How to Qualify
New homes, new construction and remodeling are not eligible for the rebate.

To Qualify, Applicants Must:
  1. Be a current and non-delinquent Lafayette utility customer.
  2. Ensure that the name on the rebate application matches the name on the Lafayette utility billing account, and provide proper identification. Contractors cannot apply for their clients. For a rental property, see Landlord & Tenant section.
  3. Provide proof of his/her lawful presence in the United States according to provisions of Colorado Law (Immigration Law, HB 06S-1023) by providing signature and proper documentation on the application form. Under the law, persons 18 years of age or older must prove lawful presence in the United States in order to receive non-emergency public benefits. This applies to City of Lafayette rebates.
  4. Replace a pre-1994 toilet (3 gallons per flush or more) with a new high-efficiency toilet. For the $80 rebate credit, the new toilet must be on the EPA Watersense list of toilets using 1.28 or less gpf.
  5. Recycle the old toilet at City of Lafayette's Service Center 1700 Avalon Avenue by appointment only; and
  6. Complete the Toilet Rebate Application, attach the proper documents, and submit by Friday, December 19, 2014.
