Waste Reduction Advisory Committee Achievements
Since its inception in 1994, the Waste Reduction Advisory Committe has been active in the community with many beneficial and innovative programs. From 1994 to the present, these include but are not limited to:

In 2005, WRAC received received the Bronze Environmental Achiever Award from the Colorado Environmental Leadership Program sponsored by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
The Waste Reduction Advisory Committee would like to thank the Boulder County Community Outreach Program for their valuable assistance in helping us achieve our success in reducing waste at community events. Working together, we have turned community community events into waste reduction events.
Grants from Boulder County Community Outreach Program
1997 - $6,000 for environmental education
1998 - $5,639 for Lafayette/Louisville drop-off center
2001 - $12,000 for Lafayette/Louisville drop-off center
2003 - $2,700 for recycle bins used at Lafayette festivals
2004 - $2,500 for Eco-Cycle Services for Peach Festival and supplemental cost of compostable cutlery
2005 - $1,689 for waste reduction outreach and education
2006 - McStain Community grant of $1,600 to Eco-Cycle for WRAC to promote the 2006 Peach Festival as a zero-waste event
2007 - $1,500 for Zero-Waste services at Peach Festival
2009 - $3,468 for Zero-Waste station modifications
