Regular Part Time Employee Benefits

What is a Regular Part Time Employee? 

A part time employee is someone who (works less than 40 hours per week) and whose position has been identified as a Part Time Regular position.  This person's schedule should average 21 hours per week year round.

What benefits do Regular PartTime Employees' receive?  Brochure available.

• Two Floating Holidays per year, a total of 10 hours.  At the beginning of the year the City will credit each employee with 10 hours to be used when the employee wants with supervisory approval.
• Paid Time Off accrued at a rate of .041 for every hour worked.
• Participation in the 125 Flex Spending Account Program - a way to put pre-tax income aside for medical and dependent care expenses.  Planned Benefit System brochure is available.
• Participation in and City contributions to a 457 Retirement Plan - in lieu of participation in Social Security - 4% of pay before taxes is matched with 4% of the City's contribution and placed into an account in the employee's name at ICMA-RC (information pamphlet is available.)
• Bereavement Leave - paid time off to attend a family member's funeral.
• Ability to purchase an AFLAC supplemental insurance plan - there are many plans to chose from (brochures are available.)
• Health Insurance Premium reimbursement program - The City will reimburse some of the cost for medical insurance incurred by the Regular Part Time Employee according to the following schedule:

• Free Bob L. Burger Recreation Center Pass :( during the first year of employment must become a Wellness II Member after).
• WELLNESS  PROGRAM: Brochure available Two levels:
Level I - Free Punch card $150 worth of golf, paddleboats, admission to the LaMont Does Pool or the Bob L. Burger Recreation Center.
Level II - Encourages accomplishment of individual wellness goals - initial cost about $50 for health screening.  Receive annual Recreation Center pass, (approx. $350 value). and additional financial incentive to the health cost reimbursements. (See chart above)
