Homebuyers, particularly first-time buyers, should take the homebuyer courses prior to working with an agent or a lender.  Homebuyers will learn how to qualify for a mortgage, how to work with a realtor and lender, what the contracts are for, budgeting, finance options and more.

The Homeownership training courses are a requirement for participation in the City of Lafayette Community Housing Program. These courses are free and very helpful in preparing homebuyers for the buying and owning process and responsibilities.

No pre-registration is required; however, it is a first come first serve basis and begins on time.  Classes are to be taken in sequence.  No childcare is available.  Classes are offered regularly in Lafayette, Boulder, and Longmont.  Check out the following web site for the latest schedule and locations:  Homebuyer Class Schedule.
