If you are interested in donating money to Reading Buddies, please make a check out to "City of Lafayette" with "Reading Buddies" in the subject line and mail it to Reading Buddies, Lafayette Public Library, 775 W. Baseline Rd., Lafayette, CO 80026.  (Your donation is tax-deductible.)

You may choose to donate online through the Friends of the Lafayette Public Library Foundation (also tax-deductible); please indicate that you want your donation to support Reading Buddies.

If you are interested in donating materials to Reading Buddies (tax-deductible as well), we would appreciate any of the following:

• Specific books and games from our Amazon Wish List
• Office and art supplies (origami paper, markers, stickers, pens, thin three-ring binders)
• Individual white boards (approximately 1'x1'), dry erase markers, erasers, and cleaning solution
• New or like-new children's and teen books to use as prizes
• Sets of 15 items to place in Little Buddy welcome bags (pencils, pens, pins, stickers, notepads, small books, etc.)
• Reading-related board games (eg Boggle Junior) and card games in English and Spanish (new or used in good condition)
• Books and puppets/toys/activities on similar themes to turn into Book Kits (for example, an easy reader Winnie-the-Pooh book, a Disney version of a Winnie-the-Pooh story, some poems by A. A. Milne, and small figurines of the main characters)
• Snacks and meals for Big Buddy trainings
• Gift cards in $5 and $10 increments for i-Tunes, local movie theatres, coffee shops, bookstores, and fast food restaurants to use as prizes and incentives for Big Buddies
• Small tape players or CD players that two people can listen to simultaneously (ie, with a speaker or more than one headphone jack), with headphones included if possible 
• Tapes and CDs of children's poetry and songs, with lyrics provided (so children can read along while they listen)

Thank you for considering our requests!  We rotate our materials, games, and book kits among the library and the two schools so that as many Buddies as possible can benefit from them.
