Lafayette Open Space Properties

General Summary of Regulations • No use of open space outside of daily hours from 4 am to 10 pm • No pets except when on a leash and accompanied by a person who is responsible for cleaning up and disposing of all pet waste • Use of trails is strongly encouraged to prevent degradation of open space • No business or commercial activity • No equestrian use or motorized vehicles except for authorized maintenance vehicles or motorized wheelchairs • Bicycles must stay on trails • No littering or dumping and no glass or breakable containers • No encroachment into open space with private improvements such as gardens, landscaping, fences, tree houses, swings, swing-sets, bike ramps, paths, compost piles, storage of personal property, etc. • No alcoholic beverages • No injury to any natural, historic, geologic, archeological or cultural resource • No fires • No discharge, possession, use or carrying of any weapon except as permitted by Chapter 75 of the Lafayette Municipal Code • No fishing, boating or swimming • Close all gates along trails
