Evidence of Qualifications
Education / Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent AND
30 semester hours of college completed; OR
One year experience as a sworn police officer or corrections officer in a duly constituted governmental (local, state or federal) law enforcement agency or correctional institution; OR
Two years military service having been honorably discharged; OR
A combination of any of the above categories that is approved by the City's Human Resources Division.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be Colorado POST certified or have the ability to be post certified.
Must pass a thorough background investigation to include polygraph, psychological & physical evaluations.
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Class "R" Colorado driver's license and have a good driving record.
