    The City Service Center will accept Christmas trees for recycling during these dates and times. Monday thru Friday ONLY from 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM beginning on 12/26/19 thru 1/31/2020. ONE Saturday drop off will be available on 1/18/2020 from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Please be aware this is for Christmas trees ONLY. Trees must be free of all wire, lights, rope, ornaments and tinsel. PLEASE no flocked trees.

  1. Electronics Recycling Collection Event

    January 18, 2020, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Service Center

    A new Electronics Law took effect on July 1, 2013. Colorado residents are prohibited from placing certain electronic devices in their trash for disposal. More information on Senate Bill 12-133. Due to this law, the Waste Reduction Advisory Committee (WRAC) and the Public Works Department of the City of Lafayette will be hosting an Electronics Recycling Collection Event. Eco-Cycle will be partnering with Blue Star Recyclers - a certified e-Stewards recycler, to safely recycle all materials . Over 95% of materials will be recycled for remanufacture.

    Come learn about the amazing FREE Colorado Talking Book Library (CTBL). For people who cannot read standard print, the CTBL provides free service audio, Braille and large-print books and magazines to keep them connected to reading, stories and adventure. CTBL serves more than 7,000 people annually, including the blind, vision impaired and people with print disabilities such as MS, Parkinson's, stroke, arthritis, chemo, dialysis and surgical limitations.
