(UPDATED 11/28) City Administrator recruitment process invites community engagement

After 20 years of service to the Lafayette community, City Administrator Gary Klaphake will be retiring in December.  In their search for his replacement, City Council will include several opportunities for the public to be involved in this process.  The following schedule may be subject to change.  Please watch for updated announcements.  


Finalist Public Interviews - Tuesday, December 11, 2018
Beginning at 8:00am
City Council Chambers | 1290 S. Public Road

Public input will be taken at 8:00am before public interviews begin.  Feedback cards will be provided for those in attendance at the interviews, and an online form will be available for residents unable to attend. This input will be shared with City Council and is required to be submitted by 7:30pm online or in person. The public interviews will be televised live on Comcast Channel 8 and online at www.cityoflafayette.com/streamingvideo .


Finalist Meet-and-Greet Reception - Tuesday, December 11, 2018
5:30-7:30pm
Indian Peaks Golf Course Clubhouse | 2300 Indian Peaks Trail

Candidates will briefly introduce themselves and mingle with residents in attendance.  Feedback cards will be available for those in attendance and shared with City Council.



Public Deliberation - Wednesday, December 12, 2018
5:30pm
City Council Chambers | 1290 S. Public Road

City Council will host a special meeting to publicly discuss and deliberate a final candidate selection.
